KIMBALL RIDGE ASSOCIATION
BOARD MEETING MINUTES
February 13, 2007

PRESENT: Bob Delveau, Stan Hemsath, Christy Pierce, Pam Ayers, Jay Hansen, Aram Susong, Sharon Samec, Lisa Wall, Ron Garris, Joan Harringa, Bill Winder, Dianne Gearhart, Ruth Beck, Pam St. John

GUESTS: L. Brent Cantrell and Don Beck

President Aram Susong called the meeting to order.

Minutes and Treasurer’s Report from the January 9, 2007 meeting were approved (motion by Lisa Wall and second by Joan Harringa for the minutes and Sharon Samac and Stan Hemeseth for Treasurer’s report).

Stan Hemesath reported that the liability insurance policy for Kimball Ridge Association has been purchased at an annual cost of $190.

Ron Garris reported for the Partners In Ed committee – West High is going to award two $500 scholarships based on essay’s. The KRA’s donation of $500 went towards the new Java West Coffee program. A flier was distributed explaining the Java West project, which also had an opportunity to donate money to the cause. A brief description stated that they will be selling affordable flavored coffee and at least one hot “non coffee” beverage before school to students and staff.

Aram reported from an email sent by Velda that the Chamber is hosting the Strictly Business Expo on March 1stth and booths are still available. Good Morning Cedar Valley will be March 29th at Lincoln School in Cedar Falls at 7:30 AM. The Chamber has a new web site – very friendly www.greatercedarvalleychambers.com.

Bob Delveau reported that the My Waterloo Days committee is still looking for a sponsor for 5K walk/run. Cost to sponsor is $3,500. Bob stated we would need 30 - 40 volunteers to help with the 5K walk/run. Date of event is June 2nd. Commitment time will be from 6:00 AM to around 10:00AM

The board members attending the meeting were asked to get together with their committee members to begin their planning.

The meeting was adjourned.
